Contemporary Multi Generation Eco Friendly Home

The family envisioned a home that would take advantage of the site, sun and provide an unparalleled indoor environmental quality. The home features a main open plan living space with bedrooms and support spaces on the perimeter. Large expanses of glazing open to the south to harvest natural light and warmth. The home also incorporates a private suite for the elder generation with a cozy living space connecting the two generations. The clients paid careful attention to materials and arrangements to minimize off-gassing and specify sustainable materials to the extent practical. A spacious attached 3 car garage has ample work space and is connected to the house via an enclosed mudroom and entrance foyer. This project was completed in 2018.
