Lucky Star Farm Milk Barn Guest House Renovation

The project reused the existing structure, openings and roof and added a new bathroom, kitchen and open living space. The long, narrow building is a perfect layout for weekend getaways to enjoy a retreat to the working farm just outside of Iowa City. The interior is finished with materials reclaimed from the original building and other original site building to give a modern, farm chic feel. A cozy sleeping loft is incorporated over the new bath and kitchen featuring views out the new gable windows. This project was completed in 2019.
